The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has moved the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025, which was originally scheduled for August 13, to the first week of September for a thorough review of the exam platform. The One Time Registration (OTR) edit facility will reopen from August 14 to 31, allowing candidates to update their information before the next application cycle.

SSC CGL exam postponed 2025: Citing the need for a thorough evaluation of its examination platform and operational readiness, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025, which was originally set to start on August 13.

The updated CGL and subsequent recruitment test schedule will be available on the Commission’s official website soon. The exam will now start in the first week of September.

Connected to more extensive quality control procedures

The SSC claims that the postponement is a component of a larger plan to guarantee that exams are conducted without hiccups and to find and fix any operational or technical issues before applicants take the test.

The decision comes after technical issues during the Selection Posts/Phase XIII exams caused more shifts and a retest for more than 55,000 impacted candidates.

Mid-August is when the OTR edit facility reopens

Separately, SSC announced that it will reopen its One Time Registration (OTR) edit facility from August 14 to August 31, 2025. Candidates will be able to amend their registration information prior to the September application cycle thanks to this change.

Candidates are encouraged to carefully check and correct their information to prevent inconsistencies in future hiring procedures, as the Commission has made it clear that no changes will be allowed after the edit window closes.
