Based on eyewitness reports, Jammu and Kashmir police have published sketches of the terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam attacks, which claimed 26 lives. Mint was unable to confirm the accuracy of these drawings.
A set of sketches of the terrorists involved in the 26-person Pahalgam attacks were made public by the Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday. According to the police, eyewitness accounts served as the basis for the sketches.
According to the officials, the sketches depict Abu Talha, Suleman Shah, and Asif Fauji. The three terrorists were also involved in terror-related incidents in Poonch and went by the code names Moosa, Yunus, and Asif. View sketches here

At the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, a group of tourists were shot at by suspected terrorists who were members of “The Resistance Front,” a branch of the outlawed Lashkar-e-Toiba.
At least 26 people have been confirmed dead by local authorities, and several more have been injured. To find the attackers, the police and army have launched a search.
According to multiple reports earlier in the day, intelligence agencies claimed that two POK-based operatives and Saifullah Khalid, a senior Lashkar-e-Toiba commander, were responsible for designing the attack. Mint was unable to independently confirm the news, though.
PM Modi holds a high-level meeting and ends his Saudi trip
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shortened his diplomatic visit to Saudi Arabia as a result of the attack, which caused widespread indignation. The attack was denounced by the prime minister, who also declared that those responsible “will be brought to justice.”
According to PTI, which cited unnamed officials, he met with Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval at the airport when he arrived. On Wednesday, he will preside over a meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Security, which is India’s highest security body and includes the country’s defense, foreign, home, and finance ministers. It is anticipated that the group will discuss how to respond to the attack.
