Highlights of the RCB vs. PBKS IPL Final:

After an 18-year wait for the coveted trophy, Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Punjab Kings by six runs in Tuesday’s final to win their first title. The bowlers from the Punjab Kings did a respectable job of holding Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 190/9.

But the Shreyas Iyer-led team could only muster 184/7 in 20 overs because their batters were unable to perform under duress. The most impressive bowler for the RCB was Krunal Pandya, who took two wickets for 17 runs in four overs. After placing second three times in the past, RCB finally had the opportunity to lift the trophy. Punjab Kings, who were competing in their second final and first since 2014, suffered a devastating defeat.

Despite their poor batting performance, RCB was able to cross the finish line. While captain Rajat Patidar managed to build on a strong start with 26 off 16 balls, Virat Kohli scored the most runs with 43 off 35 balls. Kyle Jamieson scored 3 for 48 for the Punjab Kings, while Yuzvendra Chahal was outstanding with figures of 1/37 in 4 overs.

Azmatullah Omarzai, an all-rounder for Afghanistan, took Kohli’s prize wicket (1/35). Arshdeep Singh, India’s top T20 bowler, had the best numbers, though, taking three wickets in the last over (3/40).
