NHPC, Canara Bank, NBCC, and Morepen Lab are the four stocks that experts advise buying today for less than 100 rupees.
Stocks to buy under ₹100: On Monday, the Indian stock market continued its bull run for the sixth straight session after a participatory rally. The Nifty 50 index ended the year 307 points higher at 23,658 and turned green. While the Bank Nifty index ended 1,111 points north at 51,704, the BSE Sensex gained 1,078 points and closed at 77,984. Every sectoral index had a positive finish. Reality, OIL/GAS, Nifty PSU Banks, and Nifty Private Banks were the main winners.
Reflecting the strength of the market as a whole, the mid and small-cap sectors extended their winning run for the sixth session. Both the Nifty Small-cap 100 index and the Nifty Midcap 100 index experienced a 1.10% and 1.30% increase, respectively. The BSE advance-decline ratio was 1.53, and market breadth was positive for the fifth day in a row. Compared to the average of the previous ten days, the NSE cash market volumes increased by 9%.
Today’s stock market
“We expect this upward momentum to continue in the market on account of continued buying interest, improved FII flows, strengthening of INR against US Dollar, and overall supportive global market cues,” said Siddhartha Khemka, Head of Research — Wealth Management at Motilal Oswal, in reference to the outlook for the Indian stock market today.
On the outlook of the Nifty 50 today, Nagaraj Shetti, Senior Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, said, “The underlying trend of the Nifty 50 index continues to be positive. The next upside targets for the Nifty are around 23,800 and 24,200 in the near term. Immediate support for Nifty today is placed at 23,400.”
Hrishikesh Yedve, AVP Technical and Derivatives Research at Asit C. Mehta, responded to a question regarding the Bank Nifty’s outlook today by saying, “The Bank Nifty index opened with a gap-up, sustained buying interest, and settled on a positive note at 51,705. Technically, the Bank Nifty has shown sustained strength by breaking through the 200-day Simple Moving Average (200-DSMA) resistance and forming a bullish candle on the daily charts. The Bank Nifty’s 200-DSMA is situated close to 50,970, which serves as the immediate support. Its previous swing high, or 52,000, is the next significant resistance. A persistent rise above 52,000 might lead to a new Bank Nifty breakout. To take advantage of the continuing momentum, traders are encouraged to use a “buy on dips” strategy.
