Pahalgam terror attack: A horrific terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday claimed the lives of 26 people, all of them men. The complete list of victims of the Pahalgam terror attack is available here.

 Pahalgam terror attack: The identities of the 26 victims of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir have been made public.

India, Mumbai, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Kolkata, Nepal, Kanpur, Bihar, Bangalore, Pune, Bhavnagar, and other locations were among the deceased, including tourists.

At least 26 people were killed and numerous others were injured when terrorists attacked a popular tourist destination in Pahalgam, in the Anantnag district of Kashmir, on Tuesday.

Among those killed were two locals and two foreigners.

Navy, IB and IAF officers among those killed

— The Indian Navy officer who died in Tuesday’s terrorist attack in Pahalgam was Lieutenant Vinay Narwal. After enlisting in the Navy in 2022, the 26-year-old Haryana native has spent the last 1.5 years at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi.

— Terrorists killed an Intelligence Bureau employee stationed in Hyderabad. The terrorist attack claimed the life of Bihar native Manish Ranjan, a Section Officer at the IB office in Hyderabad. Ranjan’s spouse and kids are secure.

— The Indian Air Force (IAF) mourned the loss of life of one of its personnel. “All air warriors of the #IndianAirForce mourn the loss of Cpl Tage Hailyang in the terror attack at Pahalgam and convey heartfelt condolences to his family in this moment of immense grief,” the IAF posted on X.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, meanwhile, reaffirmed India’s unwavering stance against terrorism and promised that the government would react forcefully.

“I wish to reiterate India’s determination to combat terrorism. We have a zero tolerance policy for terrorism. I want the people of this country to know that the government will do everything it can. We’ll get to the actors who are behind the scenes as well as the people who committed this crime. “I want to reassure the nation that the accused will soon see a loud and clear response,” Singh said.

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, visited the location earlier in the day and spoke with top army and police officials.

Security personnel briefed Shah after he arrived at the Baisaran meadows in a helicopter. According to sources, the home minister was briefed on the events that transpired and the potential paths the terrorists may have taken to get to the well-known tourist destination, which is encircled by dense pine forests.

The site, approximately 110 km from Srinagar, was visited by senior officers, including Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava, GoC of the Army’s 15 Corps, and Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Nalin Prabhat.

The home minister earlier said that the nation will not submit to terror and that those who killed tourists at Pahalgam would not get away with it while attending a wreath-laying ceremony for the victims of the terror attack at the Srinagar police control room.

Shah also visited Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Anantnag in the afternoon and met some of the injured admitted there.
