Actor Vijay Thalapathy’s Ramzan event was ruined by drunks and treated like cows, according to a police complaint.

Actor Vijay was accused by the Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath of “insulting Muslims” by permitting “drunkards and rowdies” to attend the Iftar gathering.

Due to his Iftar event during Ramadan, Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay has been the subject of a police complaint. The police complaint was filed by the Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath, which claimed that the Iftar event organizer had “insulted Muslims” by permitting “drunkards and rowdies” to attend. Additionally, the Muslim organization has claimed that participants were treated “like cows.”

“Muslims were insulted at the Iftar program organized by Vijay,” said Syed Kous, treasurer of the Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath, in response to the complaint. We think Muslims have been insulted by the presence of inebriated individuals and rowdies who had nothing to do with Iftar or fasting.

He alleged that actor Vijay hired ‘foreign guards’ who disrespected people, ‘treating them like cows’.

“To make sure this doesn’t happen again, Vijay should face legal action. Syed Kous stated, “We didn’t file a complaint for publicity.”

Vijay, the founder of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), welcomed Muslims and celebrated the principles of humanism and fraternity while hosting Iftar in Chennai on Friday, March 7.

Clad in a white shirt and dhoti and sporting a skullcap, Vijay expressed gratitude to Muslims for accepting his invitation and participating in the Iftar gathering. Vijay broke fast and prayed with the Muslims during the event.

Later, the politician-actor waved to his ecstatic supporters who had gathered on a flyover and by the sides of the road from the sunroof of his campaign van. Since then, the video of Vijay praying and breaking his fast has gone viral on social media, with some calling it “appeasement” and others applauding him for practicing “secularism.”
