The Singer Cloud X Cool Fan brings something new, both literally and figuratively, to an area that has long been dominated by bulky air coolers and pricey air conditioners. This new line of water-based, bladeless smart fans is competitively priced and designed in India with the goal of revolutionizing the efficient, hygienic, and cool living conditions of Indian urban homes.

Design: Well-executed Modern Minimalism

The Cloud X Cool Fan has a bladeless, cylindrical design that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing, doing away with the traditional grille-and-blade arrangement. The gadget initially appears to be a hybrid of a portable cooler and an air multiplier modeled after Dyson. It’s tall enough to draw attention, yet small enough to fit into a small apartment corner. With its smooth-rolling casters, moving around is a breeze—no spills or lugging is required.

It is evidently made with usability and safety in mind. It has a premium air thanks to its clean matte finish, LED indicators, and child-safe bladeless front. The Cloud X also fulfills its promise of low noise operation, operating at less than 40 dB on Quiet Mode, making it ideal for study and bedroom use.

Performance: When Function and Form Collide

For evaporative cooling, Singer has installed its patented “Cloud Technology” system under the hood, which turns water into a fine, mist-like stream. It’s much more sophisticated than your typical cooler and not quite an air conditioner. What is notable is the hygienic approach: the unit uses silver-coated, anti-bacterial mesh filters to collect dust, pet hair, and pollutants instead of wet cooling pads, which are a haven for bacteria.

With a full 5-liter tank, the fan can cool for up to 8 hours while using only 160W of power. Both the environment and the electricity bill benefit from that. It’s a great option for moderate temperatures, personal cooling, or supplemental AC use to reduce energy consumption, even though it won’t cool a room as effectively as an air conditioner.

Although a smartphone app or smart home integration would have made it more future-ready, remote control functionality adds a layer of convenience. Hopefully, a next-generation model will have that.

Maintenance and Usability

The simplicity of maintenance is yet another advantage. There is no need to be concerned about damp pads or odorous tanks like with traditional coolers. The water tank fills from the top, and the filter panels are simple to remove and clean.

The sole warning? During the hottest part of the summer, you will need to remember to manually refill it every day. This feels like a first-generation product because it lacks an auto-refill feature and a water level indicator.

Conclusion: A More Astute Middle Ground

The Singer Cloud X Cool Fan meets all the requirements: it is less expensive than an air conditioner, safer for kids, cleaner than conventional coolers, and energy-efficient. In comparison to other products in this price range, it also looks better. This fan, which costs ₹10,999, might be a wise summer upgrade if you live in a place like Delhi or Mumbai where humidity can change and space is limited.

  1. The Singer Cloud X Cool Fan seems like a game-changer for urban homes in India. Its bladeless, cylindrical design is not only practical but also adds a modern touch to any room. The fact that it operates at less than 40 dB in Quiet Mode makes it perfect for bedrooms and study areas. The use of silver-coated, anti-bacterial mesh filters is a smart move for maintaining hygiene. It’s impressive how it can cool for up to 8 hours with just a 5-liter tank, making it energy-efficient. However, I wonder how effective it is in extremely hot climates compared to traditional air conditioners. Would you say it’s more suitable for moderate temperatures or can it handle the peak summer heat as well?
