Bhubaneswar: The centre today declared the rundown of beneficiaries for Padma Awards for the year 2025.
The rundown of beneficiaries for Padma Awards, perhaps of the greatest non military personnel honor in India, was declared just before the Republic Day.
Four eminent persons from various fields in Odisha have been selected for Padma Shri awards.
Adwaita Charan Gadanayak (Art), Ashok Kumar Mahapatra (Medicine), Durga Charan Ranbir (Art) and Pratibha Satpathy (Literature and Education) have been selected for this year’s Padma Shri awards.
This year, out and out seven prominent people from different fields have been chosen for Padma Vibhushan, 19 for Padma Bhushan and 113 for Padma Shri.
The Padma Grants are given in three classifications: Padma Vibhushan (for excellent and recognized help), Padma Bhushan (recognized assistance of higher request) and Padma Shri (recognized assistance).
The Honors are given in different disciplines/fields of exercises including social work, public issues, science and designing, exchange and industry, medication, writing and schooling, sports and common help.
These Honors are given by the Leader of India at stately capabilities held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.
